What does idance® stand for?

What are we here for?

Personally, I have changed my thoughts  on New Year’s Resolutions many times, mostly because they don’t mean anything… sort of.

We make Resolutions  to recognise a fresh start and motivate ourselves to make a change in our life. The problem is change  requires effort; ugh! So I will make it simple, at least for me. We don’t have a resolution for idance® just a mission and a vision that we will push for at all times:

The Vision of idance® for the UK Hip Hop Dance Championships is:

To be the UK’s most popular street dance competition, that stays true to the roots whilst embracing creativity and new directions in streetdance; provides the professional and artistic assistance that propels and maintains UK dancers at the forefront of the global street dance community; Is a platform of growth and development of people interested in the support services around dance and dance events.

What we are:

The UK Hip Hop Crew Championships, presented by idance® is the premier dance event in the UK. It is a multi-day, live event featuring the best and showcasing the most technical and impressive dancers from all areas of the United Kingdom, in a breathtaking and exciting face-off to see who will be national champions, join our ‘Winners Tour’  and have the honour of representing the United Kingdom at the World Hip Hop Championships in America. We are united under concept “ONE Country, ONE Team”

The UK Hip Hop Crew Championships is a family oriented dance event that draws its participants and audience from all areas of the United Kingdom. The audience are treated to amazing dance sequences, awe-inspiring tricks and a stimulating hip hop soundtrack.

The UK Hip Hop Championships was established in support of the central vision of idance®, transforming lives through dance.

The finals includes up to 5 segments: Eliminations, Prelims, Semi-Finals and Finals, across 2-3 days. The UK’s top individual dancers and crews of 5-40 dancers will perform in front of a live audience.
